GDS 120gsm Matt Coated Paper is a high quality, bright white, coated matt presentation paper for which is ideal for presenting CAD work and technical drawings to clients or for printing low density display work on your Canon iPF750 Printer – ie line drawings, text, etc. Great for students’ end of year work too! This size is the oversize A0 allowing you to print A0 portrait and A1 landscape from the same roll – can be trimmed to exact sheet size.
GDS Matt Coated 100gsm Paper is ahigh quality, bright white, coated, smooth, matt finish presentation paper which is ideal for printing presentation work on your HP T520 printer with a higher end feel than basic uncoated paper. To describe it in basic terms, it is about the weight of a decent writing paper. It is ideal for client presentations when you need your line drawings and designs to have that extra special edge. Coated paper has an invisible layer on the surface (like a super fine matt varnish) which grabs the wet ink as it hits the page during printing and keeps a ‘tight’, bright & vivid print to add to the soft, smooth feel when handled. This paper will take a little more ink than the 100gsm version, meaning you can use this grade to print colourful designs such a portfolio plans and designs or light coverage wallcharts or posters.
Our GDS brand rolls are made for us by oustanding manufacturers including Océ, Canon and Xerox to give you the very best quality at the lowest price possible.

The Canon iPF770 can print on a wide range of media. It is used primarily by the architectural / construction design market so it’s perfect for printing plans, layouts, technical drawings, etc, but you can also produce stunning quality presentation designs, portfolios, posters, wallcharts and banners. On photo roll media, you can also print borderless (no margin – print edge to edge) allowing you to print posters and images on the full sheet size.
The Canon iPF770can print on the following media types:
Whether you need iPF770 CAD paper (uncoated basic plain white paper) for printing technical drawings and layouts, iPF770 Presentation paper (coated with a unique inkjet layer to give a higher quality print), iPF770 Heavyweight paper, or iPF770 Photo Paper to make sure your images look tip top, we can pinpoint the roll or sheet pack for you.We have put together a selection of the most popular rolls and sheets for you to choose from, with total peace of mind for excellent print results.
Most of the rolls we suggest for the Canon iPF770 printer are supplied on a 2 inch core (50mm) (this is the tube in the centre of the paper roll which slides onto the printer spindle) – cores come in two standard sizes 50mm (2″) and 76mm (3″) and the Canon iPF770 can handle both 2 and 3 inch cores – just use the core adaptors that come with the printer to use thelarger 3 inch core rolls.
Our iPF770 paper range should give you a paper product that is suitable for any of your print jobs. Our most popular papers are:
The iPF770 is an A0 size (36″) floorstanding printer, one of the smallest A1 printers in the Canon imagePROGRAF wide format range. It can take rolls up to 36″ wide / 914mm and up to 90mt long (15cms diameter). We do have customers using 150mt length rolls in the 75-80gsm papers, but Canon recommend 90mt to be the longest – this is likely due to the phsyical weight of the roll on the spindle which needs to be turned to feed by the motor. The Canon iPF770 can also handle sheets – these need to be loaded individually. Here is an overview of the standard sizes of wide format paper rolls and sheets and the size of prints you can use them for. Sizing varies between traditional CAD sizing where true ISO sheet size is required from rolls, and graphics sizing which is almost always oversized. Where a roll accommodates two sizes you can print both by simply turning your print to landscape – if you don’t know to do this, call us – it’s a simple check box.
