The Canon imagePROGRAF TX-Series Large Format Printer range is Canon’s most versatile range of printers to date – offering outstanding precision, durability and productivity in one footprint. Utilising Canon’s new Lucia TD ink formula the Canon TX printers can produce precision fine lines for CAD and GIS applications, whilst also having the capability to deliver outstanding vibrancy and durability for applications such as retail posters and banners. Using pigment based inks instead of dye inks has benefits that include water resistance and light fastness levels you won’t find on dye based systems.
Utilising a rigid unibody design borrowed from the automotive market ensures minimal vibration whilst the printer is in operation and guarantees that the print quality is of the high standards that people expect from their Canon large format printers. These printers are extremely robust and have a wider print head, which increases print speed.
The TX-Series was created to satisfy needs in the high-end CAD and entry-level LED plotter markets.
The T36 MFP in the TX-Series line-up offers all of the above features of the TX large format printer, but also offers a compact scan, copy and print solution that deliver speed and precision with exceptional versatility. With scanning speeds at 6″ per second (colour) and 13″ per second (mono), alongside continuous printing capability and simplified maintenance, the TX-Series was designed to accelerate workflow efficiency. Featuring a 15.6-inch colour touchscreen and Wi-Fi connection, users gain easy access to functions. The neatly integrated Colortrac scanner T36 features SingleSensor technology, which helps provide consistent and better colour accuracy with more detail in the shadows and highlights than a staggered CIS array scanner; delivering consistent and highly precise scanning, ideal for fine lines and text.
Canon Lucia TD inks are pigment based and they offer extremely good and very long lasting poster/POS application as well as superb CAD rendition. As the inks have a high surface tension they don’t mix and spread like Dye inks do, therefore the lines and details produced are extremely crisp with no bleeding. They produce impressive accuracy and performance on economical uncoated paper as well as on coated media. Using pigment inks instead of the traditional dye based system ensures better water resistance and light fastness, which is great for those who need their plans to be more durable than ever before. Using the multi-talented TX Series, you can get great prints on media such as scrim banner, outdoor polypropylene and photographic papers too – something that traditional Dye based printers just can’t achieve!
As always, the Sub-Ink Tank System is standard with all imagePROGRAF printers for uninterrupted printing. This feature allows for virtually all of the available ink in a tank to be used before having to replace it, helping eliminate any wasted ink.
The imagePROGRAF TX-Series Large format printers come equipped with security features designed to help protect confidential information.
Features include:
Every imagePROGRAF TX printer and MFP can be equipped with a second roll unit, either for use as a take-up unit for jobs that require post-print finishing, for continuous printing, or simply for keeping two different types of media loaded at the same time for simple auto-switching.
But one unique, time-saving feature of the first and second roll is the amazing self-loading capability that makes your working day even easier. Just place the roll in the holder, let it go and walk away! The Canon TX performs its auto-loading magic and is ready to print in seconds.
The TX-Series dedicated basket / stacker unit is designed to make it easy for you to keep track of and to keep order of your prints. This optional extra will stack up to 100 large format prints, perfectly, and in the correct order, so there’s no need for you to waste time and effort collecting armfuls of rolled up prints and collating them manually.
The basket / stacker simply replaces the standard catch basket and works perfectly in conjunction with the single and dual roll versions of the TX-Series.
