As well as printing onto a huge variety of roll and cut sheet papers, the 12 colour, 24” Canon iPF6400 can also print onto rigid boards of up to 1.5mm thick using its dedicated front feed.
This feature is great for photographers and print shops alike, in fact for anyone who wants to print directly to substrate, to save valuable time mounting and finishing.
You can find more information on this feature on page 554 in the iPF6400 user manual, for those who have already purchased the Canon iPF6400 large format printer.
'Hot Swap' Inks.
This particular large format printer model, the iPF6400, as with a number of Canon printers has an ink Hot Swap capability, allowing you to change ink cartridges during the middle of active printing. The sub-ink tanks keep the supply going even when the ink has run out, meaning you can replace tanks without having to stop printing- a significant productivity-enhancing advantage.
This printer is also capable of taking board sheets. To see what boards can be printed with this machine see Board Sheets for iPF6400.
